Posted Date: 5/13/24 (8:36 AM)

UPDATED:

Dear Parents and Students,

The end of the 2023-2024 school year is quickly approaching. Yes, we have made it! That is due to the help and encouragement of our students, parents, and teachers.

Exams will be given during periods 3, 4, and 5th on Monday, May 20th. Exams will be given during periods 1 and 2 on Tuesday, May 21st. This week, your student's teachers will let them know if they are allowed to exempt their subject's exam or not. Students who are not taking exams are not required to be at school. Students may check out after their exams through the office using regular checkout procedures.  Wednesday, May 22nd is for make-up exams only, to be scheduled on an individual basis as needed.

Students are able to exempt their exams several ways. First, if the student has maintained an “A” average in a particular class and has less than 6 excused absences in that class period. Second, if the student has maintained a “B” average and have less than 3 excused absences in a class period. Third, if the student has maintained a “C” average and has

perfect attendance for that class period. Finally, if the student has perfect attendance and an average of 75 or higher in the class they may be exempt from one final exam, of their choice, each semester. Students who are exempt from an exam do not have to attend the block/ time period for which they are exempt. Students will only be required to attend the classes for which they have an exam scheduled. Students will be able to check out at the conclusion of their exam(s) at the end of the class period. Students who are exempt from all exams will not be required to attend on these days.
